Chapeltown Community Garden

The Parish Council, in partnership with Edgworth & District Horticultural Society, have been successful in applying for funding to renovate the Community Garden in Chapeltown.
The garden is the focal point of the village but has fallen into a state of disrepair over recent years. There are some trees which are in need of urgent specialist work for safety reasons and we have applied for this funding in order to enhance the appearance and revitalize the garden space as well as the memorial cross and stocks and benches which are in a poor state, which we hope to get restored with work from specialists.
Once transformed the plan for this project is to landscape the garden to provide an amazing tranquil place for residents and visitors to regularly use. This will include making it more accessible with disability access for all ….. a place for all ages to relax and take part in a range of activities as well as also being a safe space for locals to meet people and make new friends and connections.
